What all Workspace plans have in common: they include personalized corporate email addresses and many tools for teamwork (Drive, Docs, Gmail, Meet, Chat, etc.). Users can pay monthly or annually with the ability to switch between them.

So how do you choose a Google Workspace plan? Choose a plan based on the number of users, storage size, and feature set.

Which Google Workspace plan is better to choose?

Another popular question from our customers is: “How to choose a Google Workspace tariff plan?”, because one of the goals of many businesses is to reduce maintenance costs. We have analyzed in detail the features of the most popular solutions, because we understand that such cooperation should be profitable.

When is it better to choose the Business Starter package?

If you’re wondering, “What Google Workspace plan is best for a team with basic needs?”, Business Starter is a great choice. It has enough memory to store documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.

By ordering Business Starter, you get access to the following services:

  • corporate email;
  • Google Docs (docs, spreadsheets, presentations, forms);
  • calendar;
  • video conferencing;
  • protection against hacking and data loss.

The basic version allows for up to 300 users to connect, with a maximum of 100 people participating in a video conference. This is the optimal solution for team calls and one-on-one communication. Another advantage is the loyal subscription price – from €5.17 per employee.

When to choose the Business Standard package

If you are wondering which Google Workspace plan is best for an enterprise that uses large amounts of data and needs to use Shared Drives, Business Standard starting at €10.35 will be the optimal solution.

By choosing it, you will get all the basic features of the Starter package, as well as additional features:

  • Shared Drives – Files on shared drives belong to your organization, not an individual. These files are retained even if the users who created them leave your organization. This helps you avoid potential data loss;
  • 2 TB of storage per user – in addition to documents, you can store a large number of images, audio and video files.

The maximum number of users is 300, while up to 150 employees can connect to the video conference at the same time; there is also the possibility of recording meetings.

When is it better to choose the Business Plus package?

Plus is the maximum package in the Business category, which includes all the features that were available in the Starter and Standard packages, and is suitable for both personal use and teamwork. This tariff requires a monthly payment of €17.25 per user.

By choosing Plus you will get:

  • 5 TB of storage per user is ideal for teams that work with graphics, including photos and videos, or who work with large amounts of data;
  • Google Vault is a data management and search tool available in Google Workspace. It lets you store, search, and export Google Workspace user data, as well as set deletion restrictions;
  • Up to 500 attendees per video conference, allowing you to host large meetings and lectures. The ability to track video conference attendance;
  • Advanced endpoint management. As an administrator, you can use advanced management features to better control access to your organization’s data. These features allow you to restrict certain device features, such as displaying notifications on the lock screen, setting up mandatory encryption, managing apps on Android, iPhone, and iPad devices, and erasing data from the device.

You can choose this tariff immediately or switch to it from the first two.

When Enterprise packages are better suited

Enterprise also includes three plans designed for large companies with more than 300 users. This allows you to scale your business with minimal resources and time.

By choosing Essentials, Standard or Plus, you will get:

  • from 1TB to unlimited disk space for each user;
  • the ability to conduct online broadcasts with over 100,000 viewers;
  • the ability to connect additional tools: Safe, AppSheet PRO, Connected Sheets and other specialized applications;
  • the ability to use third-party tools for archiving files.

The Enterprise plan costs €9.60 to €28.86 per month for one user. If you need more tools, you can upgrade to a higher plan.

Google Workspace is a flexible cloud platform that will allow you to optimize business processes in your organization, as well as significantly increase the productivity and comfort of your team. The key point is to choose a tariff plan that will meet all the needs of your business and open up new opportunities. The McCloud team will help you solve this task – our experts will analyze the needs of your company and recommend the optimal cloud solution.
